Two fully automatic, self-supporting revolving doors with a 2800mm diameter, integrated into a minimalist glass façade frame with underfloor heating
Fully transparent design, structural self-support, and a draught-free, energy-efficient entrance
Roche Diagnostics realised an energy-efficient high-rise office building in Rotkreuz, fully matching the architectural style of the surrounding Roche buildings. The glass façade allows views into the building while also reflecting the surrounding environment and sky.
BDS Entrances developed two fully automatic, fully transparent Circular Full Vision 2800 AXN TALL revolving doors. The door walls consist of low-iron glass and were installed together with the opal glass top within a minimalist frame. Despite being placed within the façade, the design required completely freestanding, self-supporting doors.
Each 4-wing revolving door has a diameter of 2800mm and a walkthrough height of 3200mm. An underfloor heating system ensures no cold air enters the building during winter, delivering a comfortable, draught-free entrance.
Designed for transparency and stability
At Roche Diagnostics, the entrance needed to be fully transparent while remaining structurally independent from the surrounding façade. BDS Entrances developed a minimalist frame using low-iron glass that maximises light and visibility without compromising structural stability.
Comfort-focused engineering
With integrated underfloor heating, the entrance stays draught-free and comfortable even in cold periods, while the fully automatic system ensures smooth daily operation.
